Movements Of The Soul

Taken from a public talk by Emily Waymire. This brief excerpt describes the basics of the Family Soul and the need to belong.
Emily Waymire, Training and Biography

With educational credentials in Fine Arts (BFA Parsons School of Design, 1989, NYC and Paris) and Arts Education (Bank Street College of Education,1989, NYC), Emily created Art Therapy substance abuse prevention programs based on Developmental Interaction for New York City homeless shelters.  The success of these programs brought state funding. She also worked as a consultant for Columbia University in their pilot program for at risk youth.

As a teenager Emily had the first of a series kundalini awakenings which led her to the non-dual wisdom of Advaita Vedanta in the lineage of Ramana Maharshi. With this she saw the mental split between the concepts of the "healing world" and "pure consciousness". During her ensuing studies she sought to bring this split into union in her work.

Realizing she had the ability to work with subtle energies, she began training with leaders in the Transpersonal and Energy Medicine communities, including five years formal study with Dr. Michael Mamas (The School for Enlightenment and Healing, San Diego), Dr. Pat Hamilton (The Northwest School for Healing, Seattle), Rev. Shelby Hammitt (Rosalind Bruyere), Carolyn Myss, and Barbara Brennan. She has a third degree in Reiki and is an Ordained Minister. She spent another three years in personal apprenticeship programs and studying Transpersonal Hypnotherapy with The Alchemy Institute.

In 1997, as Administrator for The Heartspring Center (Seattle) and creator of The Heartspring Assistantship Program, she mentored a team of newly-trained hypnotherapists. During that time she taught conflict resolution and bio-energetics through Peace Between People in the Washington State Prison system. In 2000 Emily was invited to teach at the Lama Foundation (Taos, New Mexico) as part of their month long Intensive Program.

Emily has traveled extensively studying and working with diverse populations. She has studied in Jamaica, Europe and Senegal, West Africa. After traveling twice to Brazil to meet with John of God, she received the ability to access the dimension of the Ancestral Soul.

All of this training informs her insightful application of the transformational therapies created by Bert Hellinger. She became Certified to facilitate Family Constellation Therapy through The Hellinger Institute of California and The Working Group for Systemic Resolutions (International Bert Hellinger Institute, Germany). She currently travels internationally facilitating Movements Of The Soul workshops in which she combines her experience with Satsang, Energy Medicine, Light Technologies, Masculine/Feminine Polarity, and the Ancestral Soul.

From her experience with community based therapies, working with diverse populations and healing a debilitating chronic illness, she brings a unique sociological understanding to client's issues.
